BACKGROUND
Masa Shinomiya is a senior mechanical engineer at Yamaha Motor Ventures, where he is responsible for providing engineering support for portfolio companies.
Previously, he worked as a body design engineer for a scooter in Yamaha Motor.
Prior to that, he worked as a CAE engineer. He supported structural design, such as for commercial motorcycles, race bikes, surface mounter, and various research projects.
Masa graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology with a master of Mechanical system engineering.
In his leisure time he enjoys riding motorcycles and skiing.
BACKGROUND
Sarah started YMV in early 2023 as the Executive Assistant to Anish. Previous to YMV Sarah worked as an Executive Assistant at General Mills and Men’s Wearhouse. Starting her career as an event planner and now has over 7 years of experience as an Executive Assistant. Sarah received her degree at California State University Chico. Sarah enjoys creating a fun work culture and enjoys bringing the Yamaha team together for outings and events.

YMV is great place to work with enthusiastic team members that are always ready to dive into a new project. I am excited to work closely with this team to help organize and prioritize meetings. I am excited to continue to bring the team together to build on a great place to work.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants. Hiking around the Bay Area and visiting the CA coast, Muir Woods is one of the best. My favorite places to spend a weekend are Lake Tahoe and Mendocino.
