BACKGROUND
Masa Shinomiya is a senior mechanical engineer at Yamaha Motor Ventures, where he is responsible for providing engineering support for portfolio companies.
Previously, he worked as a body design engineer for a scooter in Yamaha Motor.
Prior to that, he worked as a CAE engineer. He supported structural design, such as for commercial motorcycles, race bikes, surface mounter, and various research projects.
Masa graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology with a master of Mechanical system engineering.
In his leisure time he enjoys riding motorcycles and skiing.
Ryuji "Rob" Yamamoto
SENIOR CONTROL & SIMULATION ENGINEER
BACKGROUND
Ryuji Yamamoto is a senior control and simulation engineer at Yamaha Motor Ventures (YMV), where he is responsible for providing engineering support for portfolio companies
Prior to YMV, he was responsible for developing motorcycles simulators at Yamaha Motor Co. He used the simulators to verify the specifications of motorcycle parts. He also developed the control system for motorcycles, a new transmission control system for scooters, race bikes in the R&D department. Also he had developed to simulator to verify control system function and safety.
In his leisure time he enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and windsurfing.
